K-2 Combo Class
Course Description: Welcome to an exciting journey of learning designed for kindergarten and 1st-grade students! This course integrates foundational language arts skills with fundamental concepts in math, encouraging young learners to explore and grow through engaging activities and creative exploration, in a playful and practical manner.
Course Format: Combination of interactive lessons, group activities, hands-on projects, and guided practice sessions to cater to various learning styles and preferences.
Schedule and Pricing:
Course can be taken 1, 2 or 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and/or Fridays
One day per week $575/semester
Two days per week $1100 ($50 Savings)
Three days per week $1600 ($125 Savings)
Language Arts:
- Letter Sounds and Recognition
- Sight Words Mastery
- CVC (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant) Words & CVCE (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant-Silent E) Words
- Literacy and Communication Skills: Developing comprehension, vocabulary, and story understanding through storytelling, reading exercises, conflict resolution, and group discussions.
Mathematical Concepts:
- Number Sense
- Geometry:
- Measurement
- Problem Solving: Engaging in puzzles, games, and real-world scenarios to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Art Integration:Creativity will flourish through art projects that reinforce literacy and math concepts, allowing students to express themselves while reinforcing learning objectives.
Social Studies Exploration:Students will develop an appreciation for the world around them through age-appropriate social studies topics, exploring community, diversity, and basic geography.
Social Emotional Skills: Throughout the course, emphasis will be placed on social emotional learning including conflict resolution, patience (waiting your turn, standing in line), playground skills, communication with peers and adults.
